Amerock Unveils 2006 Spring Collections

April 21st, 2006

Columbia, MD (April 21, 2006) - Amerock®, the leader in premium cabinet hardware, is introducing its newest knob and drawer pull designs at the 2006 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Chicago. These up-to-the-minute collections of easy-to-install decorative hardware are available in a myriad of styles ranging from minimalist to ornate, offering the perfect solution for anyone wanting to make a big impact in the overall look of the kitchen without remodeling.

According to the National Kitchen and Bath Association™, more than 6 million consumers are expected to remodel their kitchens this year at an average cost of more than $13,000. Replacing cabinet hardware is a great option to make a huge design impact within the kitchen at a fraction of the cost of even a minor remodel, and can be done within a few hours.

"When decorating or updating the look and feel of the kitchen or bathroom, regardless of budget, top designers know that small changes often make the biggest impact," said Mike O'Mara, Amerock Decorative Hardware Product Manager. "Adding new cabinet hardware from our latest collections to new or existing cabinets is a simple, cost-effective, way to bring a fresh and polished look to your space."

The new collections offer unique designs in premium finishes such as oil-rubbed bronze and weathered nickel copper to help people with different decorating tastes express their own personal style. The seven unique lines reflect the most current trends in home décor. When added to cabinets or drawers, these collections of decorative hardware can breathe new personality into the kitchen, bath, or other rooms with cabinetry. Coordinating hardware for appliance doors is also available for a refined, cohesive look.

Amerock's newest decorative hardware collections include:

• Mulholland - Inspired by Hollywood glamour, combining feminine curves with masculine definition for a noble, distinguished, statuesque look

• Eydon - The worn curves and weathered textures gives a rugged, lasting look

• Marsden - Featuring interlacing patterns with sophisticated, feminine details to provide a mystical feel

• Sundara - Asian-influenced hardware that brings a spiritual statement to the kitchen or bath, featuring exotic, delicate detail

• Dulce - Mid-century modern design updated with soft, flowing curves for a streamlined appearance

• Creased Bow - Sweeping, sharp lines added to this contemporary design for a bold style

• Porter - Simplicity ignites style for a classic take on retro and a crisp, clean appearance

The Mulholland and Eydon collections will be available in June 2006. All other lines are available now at kitchen design centers, cabinet shops, hardware stores and major home centers. Knobs will retail at just under $4 and drawer pull retail prices will range from $5 to $6.15. All Amerock hardware can be easily installed; no special tools are required. All knobs and drawer pulls in these collections are quality tested and Guardian™ Lifetime Guaranteed-protected with a durable, clear lacquer to ensure a lifetime of use and enjoyment.

Making a Big Impact with Small Change

This year, Amerock is putting their money where their mouth is by taking the "small change, big impact" adage beyond kitchen design. As part of a new affiliation with Habitat for Humanity®, Amerock will collect small change from this year's Kitchen and Bath Industry Show attendees on behalf of Habitat for Humanity's Operation Home Delivery, a service that aids hurricane victims. Amerock will match the amount collected up to $5,000 to make one big impact donation to hurricane relief efforts.

Further, Amerock will also supply cabinet hardware to Habitat for Humanity "Re-Stores," home décor thrift shops run by Habitat for Humanity affiliates around the country, which help generate funding for building homes for those in need.
