Columbia, MD (April 21, 2006) - Amerock®, the industry leader in
decorative cabinet hardware is unveiling its initial collection of
appliance pulls today at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Chicago.
The new line of appliance hardware is designed to coordinate with many
of Amerock's popular knob and drawer pull styles to bring a cohesive,
coordinated look throughout the kitchen.
This new collection of appliance pulls reflects today's kitchen design
trends. Homeowners are increasingly customizing the look of their
kitchens to create a more general living space by using decorative
veneers on appliances as a means to integrate them into other cabinetry.
Appliance pulls from the Amerock decorative hardware collection can
bring a unified look to the kitchen when matched to other Amerock
cabinet hardware. The appliance pull designs can also stand on their own
on appliances or oversized cabinets and drawers for an unexpected,
dramatic touch.
"More and more, the kitchen area is becoming an integrated living space
where people spend a large part of their everyday life, and current
kitchen design trends reflect that," said Mike O'Mara, Amerock
Decorative Hardware Product Manager. "Amerock appliance pulls bring a
decorative but functional element to the kitchen, helping homeowners
achieve a customized look in the heart of the home."
The new line of appliance pulls are available in many popular finishes
including satin nickel, oil rubbed bronze, weathered nickel and
stainless steel. The collection includes 16 different options, which
coordinate with many of Amerock's most popular cabinet knobs and drawer
pulls.
Amerock appliance pulls will be available this June at kitchen design
centers, cabinet shops, hardware stores and major home centers. Retail
prices will range from $65 to $75. All pulls in the appliance pull
collection are quality tested and Guardian™ Lifetime
Guaranteed-protected with a durable, clear lacquer to ensure a lifetime
of use and enjoyment.
Small Change. Big Impact.
This year, Amerock is putting their money where their mouth is by taking
the "small change, big impact" adage beyond kitchen design. As part of a
new affiliation with Habitat for Humanity®, Amerock will collect small
change from this year's Kitchen and Bath Industry Show attendees on
behalf of Habitat for Humanity's Operation Home Delivery, a service that
aids hurricane victims. Amerock will match the amount collected up to
$5,000 to make one big impact donation to hurricane relief efforts.
Further, Amerock will also supply cabinet hardware to Habitat for
Humanity "Re-Stores," home décor thrift shops run by Habitat for
Humanity affiliates around the country, which help generate funding for
building homes for those in need.
